Rector (Pastor): Fr. Thomas Stone
Father Stone has been our rector since June 2019, though he has been serving Holy Cross as first deacon then priest in charge since 2017. Father Stone is a cradle Anglican, and is very excited about reaching souls for Christ and sharing our distinctive heritage as Anglican Christians. When he is not wearing a collar, Rev. Stone teaches English and writing classes at a local college.
Organist: Mihail Strezev
Mihail Strezev was born into a family of musicians in Chisinau, Moldova. After studying piano performance for 18 years, he followed in the steps of his mother, Anna Strezeva, and became an organist. He earned a Masters of Music degree in organ performance in Moldova and began the Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in the same field, when he attained a Green Card. Mihail then moved to the States and entered the Eastman School of Music. Mihail holds an MM in organ performance from Eastman, and is currently working on his DMA at the same place. His artistic goal is to perform organ recitals in addition to holding a position as church organist or organ teacher.
Senior Warden: Elsbeth Howland
Ms. Howland has been a member of our parish for over 30 years. She was born in 1941 and grew up in Switzerland. Ms. Howland graduated college as a physician assistant, and at the age of 25, was invited to join Strong Hospital where she specialized in Hematology. She met her husband at St. Stephen’s church in Rochester. They were married in Switzerland, and were happily married for 42 years. They were also blessed with two children and two grandchildren.
